Rob announces first round of solo tour dates Rob Thomas has announced plans for his first-ever solo concert tour. The very special 11-city cross-country club tour kicks off on Friday, April 15th at The Fillmore in San Francisco, a few days before the release of Rob's solo album ...SOMETHING TO BE on April 19th. Dates wrap up on April 30th at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Making special guest appearances on the album are John Mayer, Robert Randolph, and guitarists Mike Campbell (Tom Petty's Heartbreakers), Wendy Melvoin (Wendy and Lisa), and Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow). The rhythm section throughout the album features bass guitarist Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem) and drummer Gerald Hayward (Mary J. Blige, Beyoncé). The core band is rounded out by producer Matt Serletic, who plays keyboards on all the tracks.
